Cuddle Magic hails from Philadelphia. Their latest album, Info Nympho (streamable above), is full of inventive chamber pop, folksy instrumentation, and intriguing singalong lyrics. I’ve been listening to it all weekend and every listen yields a new layer of the album, a new hidden corner of a song, a new sound or turn of phrase that didn’t make itself known previously. It’s gorgeous and inviting.

The band recently released a split 7″ with current tour-mate The Daredevil Christopher Wright. You can check out their song here on NPR, as well as read some of their kind words about Cuddle Magic.

Pittsburgh folk band City Dwelling Nature Seekers (in addition to having one of the best and most apt band names I’ve heard) released a new album back in August. A great City Paper article described the band’s history, including a running gig at a pizza place near Duquesne that gave them lots of live experience. I’ve heard nothing but glowing reviews of their album and live show, and they should fit in very well with the other two bands.
