Pepper Rabbit
I found these guys a few months ago and have been coming back to them about once a week. They intrigue the hell out of me to the point that I don’t want to over do it and play their limited song collection into the ground, but dammit I can’t help myself! Pepper Rabbit has hit the right chords with me and fortunately for all of us, it was recently announced that they’re releasing a new album, Beauregard, in late October. With a name like that, how can you not be intrigued by these guys? They’re new to us and they might be new to you too.
Pepper Rabbit – Older Brother
Pepper Rabbit – Heat and Hot Weather (ARMS cover)
Xander Singh and Luc Laurent are the duo behind this musical project that’s based out of L.A and have two EP’s under their belts from 2009 – Clicks and Shakes. Both albums were released independently, but after hitting a home run at SXSW this spring they find themselves the proud new owners of a record deal with Kanine Records – the same Kanine Records who have released bands like Surfer Blood and Grizzly Bear upon the world. Comparisons in the blogosphere to Atlas Sound and Beirut don’t seem to be too far off. They’ve just released a single off of their upcoming album called, “Older Brother”. It’s sick…no other way to describe it. Be sure to check out their other songs on Myspace and the rest of the links below.
Pepper Rabbit is going on tour next month. Are they coming to your town? (We wish they were coming to OUR town. We’ve only read amazing things about their live shows.)

Dudes, they came to the Brillobox earlier this summer! Check out my review. It was a great show.
They’re from my town, but alas, no touring going on in Los Angeles for some time!
Super disappointed.
Feeling your pain Jessica. When I found out that I missed them coming through Pittsburgh it pretty much ruined my day.
