Song: Little Girl
Artist: Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse featuring Julian Casablancas

This song is hitting me like a ton of bricks…scratch that. 2 tons of cinder blocks. The intro with the unbelievably sharp drums and playful guitar riff grabs you. Then the vocals come in telling the story of how this girl will show us what life is all about. Pretty much saying we’re all just walking around ignorant and not giving a shit (yeah, I buy that). But not to let you forget who’s telling the story, he hits you with lyrics like, “That’s all I am, I’m just a simple guy who talks when / You put a microphone in front of him.” The guitar solo is great, simple, and exactly what this song needed to tie the room together.

A whole lot of love – Blake
